- With a small "nick" or indentation at the apex of a leaf or thallus
lobe.
- perianth
- A stucture formed from modified leaves which encloses sex organs and
young capsules.
- plicate
- Folded - as applied for example to moss leaves with longitudinal folds.

- A mat of tangled thick rhizoids (or radicles) around the stem of some
